Digging the last portion of the ditches to connect the tube well to the clinic building.

Running water at last! Installation of taps and sinks in the consultation rooms.

Adding a new row of plants at the rear of the herbal garden.

Improvement of the herbal garden with boundaries and walkways between the plots.

A new section of the garden, with herbs as well as special varieties of spinach and other greens.

Preparing name plates for the new plots.

Village children gathered to sing at the locally held Republic Day ceremony.

Distribution of sweets after the ceremony.

Lots of fun & games at our first major children's program.

Trying to hit the tin while blindfolded...

...or jump up and catch the candies by the mouth!

The winners proudly showing their prizes: donated soft toys brought by Ho See Luan of Singapore.

The toys are also making some small patients very happy, like this boy suffering from cerebral palsy.

Yet another very poorly constructed and unprotected village well...

...revealing what kind of drinking water many villagers consume.

Explaining to the villagers about water hygiene, while disinfecting the well water.

We often come across new patients during the village programs: another boy unable to walk due to cerebral palsy.

This woman fell into a badly constructed well and broke her back. After the operation she must
carry a back brace and receives acupuncture treatment.
